2016: Looking Back

With the new year arriving we love being able to look back on the last year. 2016 was a year full of joy and laughter. Amazing stories were written about each of our children as we watched them grow up. Choosing  favorite posts is never easy, but here are some of the highlights from 2016!

January
The year started off with so much love. We are blessed with nannies, staff, and foster parents who love the children as if they were their own.

February
Austyn has made amazing progress since arriving to New Day Foster Home, and in February we were able to make the long awaited announcement that he could walk!

March
We love having the opportunity to tell our readers more about out children, and in March we wrote all about James!

April
Snow in April? In Beijing the pollen from trees looks like snow, and the kids love playing with it. What could be better than Scooters and Snow?

May
Sometimes working with kids means getting messy, and our preschool teacher was pretty messy after Backyard Face Painting!

June
June brings stories of two very special girls, Rosie and Connie. It is a joy to share their stories, whether it be the miracles in their life or a day full of laughter.

July
Our children love to play with each other, and we love documenting these moments. When Freddy met Isabella was too cute not to share!

August
In August we had A Very Special Visitor. We love it when adoptive children come back to visit, and the nannies and staff that care for them are thrilled to see the children grown up!

This year our theme was rewriting children's stories, and were able to tell part of Owen's story!

September
Many of our children attend therapy each day and seeing the progress they make is so exciting. In September we were able to post a very exciting Therapy Tuesday post all about Isaac's signing.

October
One of our very favorite things to do is tell amazing stories. To tell of the incredible miracles that happen in the children's lives is a joy. Here is Ronan's Amazing Story.

November
One of the most exciting posts to write each year features children who have been adopted from New Day! Looking back on the Where Are They Now post is so fun.

December
Finally, what is cuter than the Playroom Nativity?

We thank you so much for your interest, support, and encouragement during 2016 and would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very happy 2017. We are looking forward to sharing many more Amazing Stories, Transformation Tuesdays,  simple moments, and as many cute pictures as you can handle!
