Our dear intern and Joshua's
special teacher, Ruth, has been in the States the last few weeks. She has been missed very much. It was mentioned to Joshua yesterday during lunch that "Ruth Ayi" was on a plane coming back to China. When the kids went on their walk later that afternoon, Joshua insisted on picking nearly all the wild flowers he saw.
"What are those for, Joshua?" we asked him.
"For Ruth Ayi."
When they arrived back at the foster home, Joshua was very clear about what needed to be done with the flowers.
"Here, take these," He said to his nanny, "put them in water so that I can give them to Ruth Ayi tomorrow."
It was a special moment. Welcome back, Ruth!
