Joyful activities to brighten your spirit

Even though early summer in Inner Mongolia can be a bit brisk, the sun radiated warmth over the playground of Helin Xinying Primary School.

A lively gathering took place, featuring eleven children, a sports coach, a dedicated volunteer, and two staff members, all participating in an exciting array of sports and games.

The introductory rugby experience

The highlight of the day was an energetic rugby coaching session and friendly competition!

Following a fun warm-up, the teacher transformed into a "professional rugby coach," taking center stage on the playground to demonstrate essential throwing and catching techniques. The children eagerly mimicked the movements, filled with laughter as they learned.

A special shout-out goes to Hong Fei! Having participated in a summer camp last year, he eagerly stepped up as an "assistant coach" this time around, collaborating with the teacher to demonstrate skills and guide practice, creating an infectious enthusiasm throughout the group!

Joyful Rivalry

The playground was alive with energy, filled with running, laughter, and strategic plays!

The children split into two teams and transformed into fearless little "rugby warriors," sprinting, chasing, throwing, shouting, and reveling in the joy of the game!

During the "catch fish" segment, Hong Fei took charge, skillfully drawing the opponents' attention to create openings for his teammates. Xiaopeng started off a bit hesitant, but then he suddenly darted through the defense "like an arrow from a bow," later claiming, "I was just being tactical!" which prompted a round of laughter from all.

Xiao Jia, who is typically shy, surprised everyone with his agility on the field, frequently scoring points for his team. Meanwhile, the most entertaining moment came from Wei Xiang, who chose to stand still and let himself be surrounded during the "stealing the ball" phase. He then broke into an impromptu dance, adding a hilarious touch that lifted the spirits of everyone on the field!

Heartwarming Connections

During halftime, the children gathered together, sharing the bright sparks of joy reflected in each other’s eyes:

Xiao Zhe

With a constant sunny smile, Xiao Zhe radiates positivity throughout the game, embodying the essence of a little sun and lifting everyone's spirits.

Xiaofeng  

Always eager to lend a hand, Xiaofeng was the first to assist the teacher with moving equipment at the start of the event, showcasing his helpful nature.

Xiaona

Though Xiaona was a bit slower to engage with the group, her presence was still valued. Little Jay openly praised her, saying, "She always makes me feel happy," highlighting her ability to uplift those around her.

Zheng

Participating in group activities for the first time, Zheng transformed from a quiet newcomer to an enthusiastic and active member. She even surprised everyone by expressing her gratitude to the teacher with a heartfelt "thank you" at noon.

Zixuan

Though Zixuan didn’t speak much, he was fully engaged throughout the event. He ultimately shared his passion for painting, revealing a glimpse into his creative world.

In these heartfelt expressions, we catch a glimpse of the tender emotions residing within the children. They are discovering the importance of valuing others and expressing kindness.

Growth, it turns out, is not solely about personal improvement; it also involves learning to recognize and appreciate those around us. Through this experience, they are nurturing their capacity for warmth and love, evolving into more compassionate individuals.

Tender Care A Key Part of Growing Up

One day when Lele was feeling under the weather with a stomach ache, Ziwei stepped in like a little angel. She diligently scooped food, poured hot water, and offered comforting words—each of her actions reflecting genuine concern.

Her nurturing spirit reminded us that growing up isn't solely about how far we can leap or how quickly we can run; it’s also about extending a hand to those in need.

This was more than just a typical sporting event; it was a profound lesson in growth through movement. 

It became a testament to the development of their hearts under the warm sun. As the children ran, collaborated, and laughed on the playground, they didn’t merely sweat; they cultivated courage and hope through their care and support for one another.

The light shining in their eyes was even brighter than the sun.

It was a moment of breakthrough joy, a deep understanding of teamwork, and an enduring love for life.
