3.   Home for the holidays

The children were all home for the holidays.

·      Xiaosu's mother returned home, and the family reunited after years apart.

·      Xiaoxin was not as lonely during the holidays because she had made friends.

·      Xiaolin's condition was under control this winter.

·      Xiaoyan had a severe cold, swollen eyes and ears. He is also deaf and is still recovering.

·      Xiaokai and his grandma went to his aunt's house to spend the winter vacation.

·      Xiaowen and his grandparents are at home, and his brother was able to return for the holidays.

·      Xiaoen's test scores have improved and he is determined to continue working hard.

4.   Counseling and Resources

·      Xiaoying had an operation in January, which lasted 2.5 hours and went smoothly. Dad had to work so after the surgery grandma stayed with her in the hospital. Before the operation, we helped Xiaoying’s family go through the medical insurance procedures and stayed while she was having surgery. We also visited her after the operation. One week after the operation, she was discharged from the hospital and returned home to recuperate.

·      Xiaoxin went to her uncle’s house for the holidays. During our visit, we brought them frozen dumplings, bread, cakes, fruit and school supplies. Xiaoxin's relationship with us is getting closer and closer, and she will take the initiative to express her needs. We are very happy that she opened up and has become friends with us.

Thank you for remembering the children, we believe that life is changed by love!
