Are They Warm?

Since its establishment New Day Foster Home has been committed to our vision - to bring hope to the hopeless and the fatherless home.

In December 2021, entrusted by our partner Foundation, we were tasked with distributing "Li Ning" brand clothing donations to children in need. There was a total of 1,288 pieces of footwear and clothing, totaling $30,000.

In January 2022 we began to distribute.

It took more than five months to successively send the materials to more than 30 different areas of need, including orphanages, students in need, families in need in poor communities, etc. The number of beneficiaries exceeded 800.

In distributing these donations, we met many families and children in need. Some of them were single-parent families, some were bereaved families, some families were in financial difficulty because their children were seriously ill, and some children were in trouble because of the loss of their parents.

There are many children, women, elderly, and families around us whose needs need to be seen. They need help, companionship, and a support system from neighbors and communities around them.

A piece of clothing and a pair of shoes can bring so much joy to the children. This memory and joy will be cherished in children's hearts, and you can see it on their smiling faces. They experienced and accepted the care of others, and they in turn can give love many years later.

 

Just after we finished distributing the donated materials, we received a call from Mr. An from Inner Mongolia, saying that he wanted to visit the disadvantaged children in Ximeng, Inner Mongolia, and wanted to donate thick winter coats to ensure the children stayed warm. 

We want to thank the many people around us who pay attention, providing support, and silently loving these children in need.
