David’s March Forward

In August 2021, David joined our Savannah Project. He is a smart, feisty little boy.

We didn’t recognize him at first, but when we looked at his growth record, we were surprised to find that David had been part of our formula project from 2018 to 2020. We have been a part of his life longer than we realized.

David is less than three years old, and his speech is not very clear. Sometimes his nanny can understand him, sometimes not. But she will patiently listen to him, trying to understand and meet his needs. She understood that he was new to this environment and needed time to integrate into this new family.

In October, we realized that David had made great progress in behavior and language. For example: when he first came, his nanny would repeatedly remind him not to play on the floor mat with his shoes on. He couldn't remember it at first, but with his nanny's careful reminder, he gradually changed this habit. He also went from wearing diapers to being potty trained. Every little progress is worth encouraging!

The golden autumn of October is fleeting, and November comes in the blink of an eye. In November 2021 we had the first snow of winter. David’s nanny filled a basin with snow and brought it inside. She asked the children to build small snowmen and feel the temperature of the snow with their hands. David and the other children had a great time. David also learned to dress himself. Although there are occasional mistakes, if his nanny reminds him, he will correct the mistakes.

We had a merry Christmas in December. During this festival, David played with the other children, shared a lot of delicious food and fun times together; took pictures together, opened gifts together, and got along very happily. The little guy is always beaming with joy.

February 2022, a new year, a new beginning. David has developed many good habits. He will help his nanny put his clothes away and put away the toys when they are finished. He also helps his sister ride her scooter. David is really a good boy who is willing to help others!

March, another month has passed and winter continues. David started going to kindergarten in the morning and afternoon. He has adapted to his daily life and routine; he is always spirited and happy. He speaks clearer using rich expressions, imitating his nanny. One day when he was playing with the other children, he suddenly said, "Scared the baby to death!" and covered his mouth with his hand. It was a surprising statement that made his nanny laugh.

With the arrival of April, he continued to mature, learning to share and being helpful. After eating, he will help put away the little stools, stacking them neatly. He will also help put the bowls and the cups in the sink. His nanny loves to praise this hard-working little boy.

May is the season when summer begins, beautiful flowers bloom and the weather turns warm. The children enjoy going outside to play and the magic of nature brought curiosity. When the flowers were blooming, David’s nanny picked a small flower for him. He couldn't put it down and held the flower tightly in his hand, for fear of letting the wind blow it away. David’s curiosity was evident- he had many questions about the flowers.

On "June 1" Children's Day, the children were full of joy and anticipation, David was no exception. The children were all dressed in their best, ready to participate in the festival.

July- David is lively, smart, and generous. He likes to communicate and play with the other children. Every time he sees the nannies, he will take the initiative to say hello. With a lively personality, he rarely walks, always talking, full of curiosity about things around him. He loves to smile, and the nannies say that looking at David's smile can heal everything.

August……

From the diary his nanny keeps for him, David is like a sturdy seedling, which is calm but full of surprises during the growth process. Every day is a new beginning, and every day is a new journey. We are willing to help the children in their growth. Ensuring every day is a day of exploration, hard work, and laughter. It is these days that make up every child's wonderful journey!

Love can make a difference.
