Hayden came into our care in January of 2013 - almost two years ago - but it didn't take us anywhere near that long to realize what a special boy he is.
We've loved getting to see him open up as he's come into his own little personality during that time. In July, he celebrated his 4th birthday, and while we celebrated with cake and singing, there was a part of us that continued to hope that this would be the year for Hayden - the year that Hayden's forever family finally finds him.
It seems like we learn something new about Hayden with every passing week. Recently we discovered his love of our parachute.
The way his face lit up was priceless, and his joy, that was absolutely contagious.
Of course, that isn't the only thing Hayden loves. He also enjoys spending time playing one-on-one...
...cars (both the riding kind and the toy kind)...
...and many of the activities that we do in preschool.
His smile can light up a room. It certainly does around here.
And hopefully, Hayden won't have to wait too much longer before his smile is lighting up a home of his own - a place where there's a mama and a baba who will love him forever.
