Born in 2018, Joshua joined the Savannah Project in November 2020.

As the hot summer arrived, the children enjoyed dressing in summer outfits. Rising early, Jacob prepared himself to celebrate Children's Day with his peers. Throughout the day, Jacob excelled in games and performances, spreading happiness all around.

During mealtime, Joshua approached with a drink in hand, whispering, "Mom, could you help me take this back? I want to share it with my sister and the others when we return in the evening." This simple gesture showcased Jacob’s maturity and thoughtfulness. His selfless act of wanting to share with others before indulging himself illustrated his growing compassion. Witnessing his loving nature, his nanny's heart swelled with warmth.

In 2011, Libby came into the world and joined the Little Deer Project in January 2019.

A special time was set aside each day for nannies and children to bond and interact, fostering a strong connection between them.

Seated beside Libby, I watched as she lifted her head, gazing at me with a bright smile on her face. With determination in her eyes, she wiggled her body, using her arms and stomach to propel herself forward in a crawling motion. I encouraged her, and she understood, continuing her journey towards me until she lay on my legs. Her tiny arms extended; fingers eager to touch mine. Offering my hand to her, she beamed with joy. With great effort, she managed to reach out and touch my hand, a significant achievement for her as she exercised her limbs.

Despite the challenges, Libby never gave up. She explored different ways to move, using various limbs to push herself closer, all driven by the desire for physical connection with her nanny and the comfort of being close and snug. Every exertion on her part was met with a warm embrace, eliciting a smile of contentment from Libby. The love shared between them brought satisfaction to both nanny and child, radiating joy and warmth in their bond.

Born in 2016, Erik became a part of the Little Deer Project in August 2022.

┌────────────────

Erik is a remarkable young boy, known for his cleanliness, kindness, and caring nature. Each morning, after rising from his bed, he dresses himself, carefully putting on his clothes and socks. Sometimes, he even lends a hand by helping push the wheelchair while playing with his little brother.

One incident left a lasting impression on his nanny. When the teacher arrived to pick up Ezra for class, Erik took the initiative to assist. As Ezra settled into the wheelchair, Erik noticed the need for shoes and stepped in to help. With great patience, he held the shoes' soles in his hands, repeatedly attempting to fit them onto Ezra's feet. This act of kindness and thoughtfulness showcased Erik’s genuine kindness, leaving a lasting mark on his nanny's heart. In her eyes, Erik will always be a remarkable and caring young man.
