Just before New Year’s Day we received a letter from a donor.

It has been two years since we have seen each other. Unforeseen circumstances such as all the children returning to their orphanages, the epidemic etc. have prevented us from seeing each other, but this does not affect my hopes for you.
I love to receive news hearing about your situation and seeing your angelic faces. You look happy and well cared for by your nannies. I look forward to the end of the epidemic as we wait for the warmth of spring to bloom.
