The children's playground outside in the courtyard is a paradise for the children. Slides, swings, swivel chairs, and suspension bridges... an afternoon here always passes by quickly.
Because of physical limitations, many children need daily therapy. Some of their therapy can be done using some of the play equipment in the playground. Doing therapy there always gets an enthusiastic response from the children.
They stand up straighter, climbed faster, walk steadier, and are willing to work until they are tired. In the playground they have more will power to meet the challenges of difficult activities. They don’t view it as work and enjoy their time getting stronger and meeting the challenges head-on.
Freddy moves quickly towards the slide
James stands tall and straight, just to get that unique view of the roof
Such joy on Libby’s face
Silas usually uses a walker, but is able to climb up the stairs to the slide effortlessly
Mom is about to let go, an exciting moment!
Going up and down, up and down repeatedly
Micah has grown so tall
Cyrus asks, “Does anyone want to come to my house as a guest?”
Suspension bridge? It's so cool; let's see if I can get across
There is also rock climbing, climbing to make you stronger! “Does anyone else want to do this challenge with me?” asks Kai.
