2020 is destined to be an extraordinary year. During this time, James has changed a lot, and can now walk on his own.

 Independent steps

When James’nanny encouraged him to let go of the walker and try to walk on his own, his eyes were excited but also uncertain. It was his dream to be able to walk without the walker, but all he has ever known is using the walker. When his nanny encouraged him to try, he was initially hesitant. 

For the past few years, following his operation, James has done physical therapy every day and the strength of his legs began to increase. Every step of progress was celebrated. Doing daily exercises was a special bonding time with his nanny, allowing him to begin opening his heart to trust her. 

Without the sun, flowers won’t bloom

This was James’moment to be courageous, he let go of the walker, and step-by-step began to walk- he did it! He smiled excitedly as he walked towards his nanny.

James is a sweet and happy boy with a zest for life. He is interested in everything and likes to learn and be helpful. He often helps the other children and nannies in any way he can.

One day James said, "Mom, I want to eat dumplings." When his nanny asked him how to make dumplings? James shook his head and said, "I don’t know, but dumplings are delicious, and they have meat!" 

So his nanny prepared all the materials needed for making pretend dumplings and told James how to make them. Then he and Freddy tried their hand at making dumplings.

James loves cars; he carries them everywhere. To him they are treasures. 

We are blessed to watch James grow into such a joyful young man. He spreads his optimism, enthusiasm and joy to everyone around him.
