Four Lovely Little Ladies

Since our lovely Jewel arrived just before Thanksgiving, we've had FOUR more new arrivals, all of them beautiful little ladies.

First, meet Andrea.  She is 13 months old, and she has a blood disease (Thalassemia).  Children with Thalassemia need regular medical treatment, including blood transfusions; her birth-parents must have been unable to afford the care that she needed because when she was 9 months old, Andrea was found by the gate of a local government building.

Renee is 5 months old, and also has Thalassemia.  She was two months old when she was found by the side of a road.

Andrea and Renee have been with us for almost two weeks, and they've already been to the hospital for blood transfusions.

Little Celeste arrived at the same time as Andrea and Renee.  She's just two months old, and has a rare cardiothoracic malformation, as well as heart disease.  The first time Gan Lu went to take photos of her, Celeste was sound asleep, but a little later she got this picture of her with her eyes open...isn't she sweet?

The final member of our 'fab four' is Joanna, who arrived just last week.  She is 6 months old, and also has heart disease.  She gave us a beautiful, big smile on her very first day here, and is settling in nicely.

Christmas really came early for us, with the gift of four such precious girls arriving in such a short space of time.  We can't wait to see each of them blossom as they receive plenty of love and tender care.
