It was an hour before bedtime, and the little ones in our "big kid" room were busy playing with dolls. This was Chad's first time playing with dolls, and we weren't sure he would know what to do. He felt around with his hand, feeling the doll in his lap, and then did the most surprising thing...
...Chad grinned big and wide and started patting his baby doll on the back!
Thump. Thump. Thump. He gently patted the baby doll, as if he knew just what was in his arms, and just what he was supposed to do with it. He must! Chad's nannies have taught him how to comfort little ones by comforting him when he's upset. It's so sweet to watch children learn compassion and care for others, isn't it?
We thought that Chad was being so sweet and adorable that we caught a quick video of his baby doll lovin'. It's very precious.
