Anna Rose's Dog

Good morning, everyone! My name is Anna Rose and I just turned one in March. I was born with heart disease and the doctors were all afraid to do my surgery because they thought that I would die. But, finally, they decided to risk it and I recovered very well! All of the doctors and nurses called me a "little miracle" and I was released from the hospital Christmas Day!

In July I was healthy enough to move from the Critical Care Unit out into a foster family! I really love it here and have gained lots of weight and am learning new things every day. The foster family that I live in is about a ten minute bike ride from New Day, so I can come and visit often!

However, I don't need to come to New Day to play because I have so much fun at my foster family's home! My foster mama and baba love me very much. My foster baba takes me outside to play often and my foster mama teaches me how to talk, makes me yummy food and comforts me when I'm sad. 

Do you know what one of my favorite things about my foster family is? The dog! His name is Zhuangzhuang. When I moved into my foster family we were about the same size, but with all of the good food that my foster mama's been cooking me I'm now bigger than he is! 

Zhuangzhuang used to think that he was the boss... but now I am. 

We really do everything together, Zhuangzhuang and I. He follows me wherever I am! I guess that he just likes being around me?

He doesn't run when I pull his hair, either!
