Asher's Pretty Shoes

A few weeks ago, Asher was admitted into the hospital for his urology and orthopedic surgeries. He had surgery November 12th and all went well, but we found out that he would need to stay in the hospital for two weeks to recover! That's a long time, but Asher's wonderful nanny Shirley stayed with him the whole time and he didn't seem to mind the one-on-one attention at all.

The best part of surgeries is what happens afterwards, when the children find out that they can finally do things that they couldn't before. Asher's orthopedic surgery was a relatively small procedure, but it meant that now Asher can wear what he calls, "Pretty shoes!"

We were a little worried about Asher staying in the hospital so long. Would he miss us? Would he not miss us? Asher is such a little charmer, we knew that it was more than likely he would win all of the doctors and nurses with his big eyes and silly faces.

Well, when Asher arrived home, this is what he looked like...

Notice the hair-do? Yep, Asher got doted on in the hospital.
