Christopher's Arrival {Video}

When an orphanage calls and tell us that there is a child who needs our help, our dedication and love for that child begin immediately. When we learned of the little 10-month old baby whose heart had been deteriorating since his July surgery, he was born into our hearts and we knew that we needed to bring him in.

November 1st he was safe in our arms.

Christopher. He's a weak little boy with a curious and gentle spirit. We can see the desire to be strong and to be loved in his eyes. One day these things will be a reality.

The biggest disease today is not leprosy or tuberculosis, but rather the feeling of being unwanted.

In the four days since arriving at New Day Foster Home, Christopher has already adjusted and shown us his delicate little smile and let us hear his sweet little voice. Christopher is a chatty child; he talks and he smiles and he's simply adorable.

Last week one child received the greatest gift. He received hope.

“Hope
Smiles from the threshold of the year to come,
Whispering 'it will be happier'...”
― Alfred Tennyson
