When she came she was a tiny little thing with no expressions. She sat solidly and silent, absorbing everything but never reacting. Not only was her heart sick, it was also broken.
Her luminous eyes reflected the pain that was there. We learned quickly that she relaxed when held her close, so that's what we did.
It took a while to see the transformation, but it has happened. Our sweet little girl has not only had her life-saving surgery, but her spirit has come alive. She has been placed into a local foster family whom we know served as a catalyst to the blossoming that took place in her heart.
In only two months Evangeline's fine motor skills skyrocketed nine months. She's made amazing developmental progress but it's the change in her eyes that really amazes us. She's a spunky, happy little girl with a sparkling bright future.
Love Grows Here.
Thank you for sharing these stories that confirm God is still in the miracle business!

Oh....we had the privilege of meeting, holding, and singing to Evangeline when we were in China to pick up Cooper. She really, really is a beautiful little girl, and you can see in her eyes that she's an "old soul" as they say. We are in love with this little girl and we pray every day for her! So wonderful to hear of her blossoming! :)
