Tristan

Right now we don't have many words... for those who do not know, Tristan passed away quite suddenly from heart failure.  His death was a shock, as he seemed healthy and strong the day before.  We're thankful he's no longer an orphan and playing in his Father's lap now, but our staff is reeling from the shock and pain of his loss.  Please keep us in your thoughts in the coming days and weeks...

  1. We have already been praying for all of you and will continue to do so. I knew this was going to be a tough day with the staff returning to work. My heart is still aching since learning of his sudden passing last week, and so I can only imagine the depth of hurt that all of you are feeling. He was so special and loved, and he will ALWAYS be remembered! I treasure that video you posted of he and Khloe back on Feb.1st more than ever now. The only real comfort is knowing that he is now with Jesus. Such a beautiful photo of sweet Tristan...one of the cutest ever! He will be deeply missed!!

    love and hugs,

  4. Tristan wove his way into hearts without even trying! When I went back and searched for Tristan photos I saw that he was the sweetheart that Khloe "mothered" with the socks just days ago and he (like any good boy) fired back against her pony tails ... and was the charmer with Samuel in the "something is under that shirt" escapade ... as well as the little baby in the bubbles from last February's bathtime photos and so many others that make his death unbelievable. My heart breaks to know that the opportunity to love this little guy here on earth is now gone. He is a beautiful child of God!
Thank you for filling his life with love ND! You didn't count the cost to your own heart when you dared to love him ... and that is so like what Jesus would do. Our prayers are with those who knew Tristan best ,,, and those who wish they could have known him better.

I am so glad that Tristan had his time at New Day to be loved and cared for. Thank you for all you do. May God's spirit be with you closely these coming days and weeks.

  8. I am so saddened to hear of Tristan's passing. I was his Christmas gift sponsor and it gave me such joy to buy toys for this precious boy. I am also a sponsor to Khloe and it was so sweet watching the video of them together with the socks!
God's blessings to you al at New Day for loving and caring for these precious children.

  10. Praise God for the love you received and gave back to New Day.
May you rest in the arms of the Father who holds us all, and may you grow up and play with all the orphans who have found their home. We want you with us, but we have faith in the God who loves us more deeply that we can understand.

    I love you.

  11. I've ben praying for you all since I heard! I just pray that you will feel the amazing peace of God, and that his Comfort would surround you and give you strength to continue to serve throughout your grief.

After I heard, I went back and read all the blog posts about Tristan, and I was just amazed at our God who uses the life of a very young orphan in China of all places to help draw others to Him. Sometimes we feel like when a child dies, they have not had a chance to make a difference in the world- like they somehow "missed" God's plan for their life. But, God knew how many days Tristan had, and I love that He used Tristan powerfully during that time to be a testimony for Him to doctors in China. It's a blessing to know he is an orphan no more.....and that he too was welcomed with the words, "Well Done"!

  15. When I heard the news, my nephew Carson (also adopted from China) had just died of a seizure. I broke down hearing this... Tristan was a gorgeous little boy. I am comforted knowing that he and Carson are together in Heaven playing on God's lap. Rest in Peace, Tristan (and Carson). You are in my prayers.
