The Best Gift

2021 has come to an end.

Last year may have been a difficult year - whether happy or unhappy, it has passed.

What we have left is our dedication to our beliefs and our hope for tomorrow. There are relatives and friends who care about us, and who are always by our side.

Looking back on this year we see that love can heal all wounds.

The management and nannies at the various projects took care of the children with great care and professionalism.

We are fortunate to work with many excellent medical/nursing teams to bring more professional care to children.

Thinking of the road we've taken, there are also many fellow travelers. Their joining has given us strength. Together, we have help these precious children making their lives better.

Last year, we made progress and began new projects.

Under the nourishment of love, the children show their beautiful personalities.

Ball pits, zoos, playgrounds... the children experienced many interesting moments.

By celebrating festivals and spending them together, we had the opportunity to express love and gratitude.

However, there are still many children who are in difficult situations. They are facing hardships that we can't imagine.

We can't help but wonder: what can we do for you?

Can we be the hand that lifts you up when you fall?

Help you eat your meal?

Cheer you when you practice walking?

Write a letter of encouragement to the nannies, telling them how much the love they pour into the children means?

This year, we decided to give the children a promise of love, which is the best New Year's gift we can give ourselves. For, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."

Please join us in helping orphaned children

These children have recently joined our New Day family.

Joy

Joined the Savannah project: Nov. 2021

Joy was born in October 2016. She is an extrovert, smart little girl who is always eager to learn new things. She loves to communicate with everyone and easily makes friends. She is also a big helper for her nanny. As a big sister she likes to help take care of younger kids. She loves girly things like small jewelry and hair accessories and enjoys trying them on. Joy is very organized and loves to help clean the table, put back the chairs, and sweep the floor after dinner. She loves to dance and her teacher, seeing her ability, has been teaching her. She is not shy to show others how well she can dance. Joy has a bright future.

Asher

Joined the Savannah Project: November 2021

Asher was born in March 2016. His brain development has been slow, but we believe he has a lot of potential. He is a quiet and shy boy. He enjoys his nanny’s hug and will give a big smile to show he is happy. When his nanny showed him a new toy and how it works, he only needed her to do it twice. After that he knew how it worked. He loved his new toy and whenever someone else tried to play with his toy, he would shake his head and make a sound to signal his displeasure. He is proud to be able to walk a little bit with a walker and we believe with therapy he will be able to walk by himself.

Thaddeus

Joined the Savannah project: November 2021

Thaddeus was born in March 2019. He was born with lower limb deformity. He is very active, and his arm muscles have developed well. He can move quite fast just using his hands and arms. He enjoys music and when there is music playing, he will smile and move his body to the beat of the music. He has attached to his nannies very well. Wherever his nanny goes, he will follow her. A hug from her will make him happy and he will give her a big smile. Thaddeus is very social but is still able to play by himself. We are looking forward to seeing how therapy will improve his ability to explore more.

David

Joined the Savannah project: August 2021

David is an angelic little boy. He is smart and full of energy. He likes to communicate with others and always takes the initiative to say “hello” and “good morning” to his nanny. He was curious about everything. His smile shows a full row of white teeth. It seems that David’s smile could cure everything. He also a very good imitator, loves music and to make up his own dance moves. We hope you find your own forever family soon.

Chris

Joined the Savannah project: December 2021

Chris was born in January 2019. He was born with Hypospadias. Chris is a cheerful, and funny little boy. When he’s communicating with others, he will use exaggerated body movements and facial expressions. His nannies love to watch him communicate because of his exaggerated movements. His language expression ability is pretty good. He can recite the simple ancient poem, “When weeding at noon, sweat drops into the soil.” When his nanny talks with him, he quickly responds using appropriate language according to the situation. When joining our Savannah project he adapted quickly to our big family.

Xiao Jie

Joined the Savannah project December 2021

Xiao Jie was born in March 2015. He was born with Down syndrome and heart disease. He has recovered well from his heart surgery. When he first joined the Savannah project, he was thin and small for his age. He loves to eat, and we look forward to him getting to a healthy weight. He is a friendly little boy with expressive eyes. Although Xiao Jie can’t speak yet he tries to communicate by using motions. We believe he will soon learn to speak and communicate his desires.

Elizabeth

Joined the Savannah project: December 2021

Elizabeth was born in April 2018. She was born with a chromosome abnormality. She is a cheerful and lovely little girl. The dimples on her cheeks makes her very cute. Sometimes Elizabeth can be a bit naughty. When playing with toys with other children, she will grab her favorite toys and flash a victorious smile. Elizabeth is a brave little girl who is also strong-willed. She is persistent and she won’t give when she is trying to accomplish something.

Jaiden

Joined the Little Deer project: October 2021

Jaiden was born in July 2019. He was born with CP. He is an active little boy who loves to smile and try to talk and communicate with everyone. He stretches his arms out for a hug when his nanny claps her hands to express, “A hug please.” He is also very curious and wants to explore. If he hears the sound or sees the light that a toy makes, he tries to investigate how it works. He has been with us a short time and has already improved a lot. He is now able to roll over by himself when he is in the crawl position. With this quick improvement we are excited to see what he will be able to accomplish in the future.

Allen

Joined the Emerald project: September 2021

Allen is a quiet little boy who has a good attention span and focuses well, especially when he is playing. He is creative, has great ideas and enjoys exploring new things. His thought process in figuring out how things work is good. Even though he is an introvert he likes to play with others. He communicates well with his caregivers. We are thankful he will be able to experience living with a family. Allen and Daniel are good friends and were always together at the orphanage. When Lydia asked them if they wanted to go to kindergarten they got very excited and said yes. Because of covid regulations it was not possible for the children in the orphanage to attend local schools. Now that they are in a foster family, they will be able to attend school. This encourages us to work hard to find more foster families.

Arlo

Joined the Emerald project: October 2021

Arlo was born in May 2015. He is near sighted and has Binocular esotropia. He wears glasses to help correct this. His hands, feet and skull bones have developed abnormally. Writing and drawing are difficult for him. Arlo is extravert. He loves music and he is good at expressing himself. His language has developed well. He learns music quickly, but other subjects are more difficult for him. His eyesight is not good, but he doesn’t let that limit him. He likes outdoor activities, especially doing rhythmic gymnastics outdoors. Since being placed in a foster family he has been able to attend school which he has enjoyed very much.

Kaedon

Joined the Emerald project: October 2021

Kaedon was born in August 2013. He was diagnosed with Binocular esotropia which has affected his eyesight. To correct this, he needs to wear glasses. He is an extravert and has good reasoning skills. His favorite activities are any type of sport. His large and fine motor skills have developed well. His focusing skills are good which has helped his learning ability. He can design and make a complicated and spectacular scene using blocks. When he first came to the orphanage, he was very timid. When he would see a black car he would say, “That’s my dad’s car.” He would also talk about his young sister. As time passed and he got to know his caregiver and the other children, he felt freer to express himself. When he joined his foster family, he was able to go to kindergarten. We can’t wait to see how he begins to blossom.

Chantry

Joined the Emerald project: October 2021

Chantry was born in July 2014. He soon after arriving at the orphanage had cleft lip and palate surgery. His language has developed slow for his age. It takes him a longer time learning new things than other children his age. He is a very sweet boy and is always ready to help others. When his foster mom tells him it is time to sweep the floor, he will immediately get the broom. He is an active little boy and love to ride a bike. He is a happy child and has a lot of friends. Since being placed in a foster family he has been able to attend kindergarten, which he enjoys.

Let's work together to bring hope and endless possibilities for the children's life journey!
