North for Christmas...
It's the most wonderful time of the year! The weather is getting crisp and cold - it already snowed up here in Inner Mongolia - and Christmas is in the air. We want to make Christmas special for the kiddos up here, and show their nannies and the orphanage staff just how loved they are by people all over the world.
Ready to find out how you can help?
| Isaiah, Christmas 2015 |
We are BLESSED here at New Day North to be caring for fifteen adorable and precious children. Each of them have unique personalities and special needs, and because of this, they can be a bit more tricky to shop for. Never fear! We've put together an Amazon Wishlist just for you with specific ideas and suggestions for each of the children.
Check it out HERE
So, how are we going to do this?
Each one of the littles needs one sponsor, but we will allow up to two per kiddo.
1. Pick a child, read their bio so that you know how old they are and get a brief introduction
2. Email Hannah (hannahjiejie@gmail.com) with "Christmas Sponsorship" in the subject, and let her know who you are sponsoring
3. go shopping! You can either shop online and have your goodies shipped to a courier (I will give you the address when you e-mail me), or you go shopping and fill up a shoe box and ship that to the courier who will carry it to China. OR (one last option) you can fill up a shoebox and ship it USPS to China yourself. This final option tends to be a bit more expensive, but it's a lot of fun to do with your own children and family.
Alternatively, you can do a combination and purchase a few items off of the wishlist and have them sent to our courier, and then take your own kiddos to Target and buy an outfit or two for the child you're sponsoring.

NDNorth: Another Year
Chad, Rina, and Evangeline, our "triplets", celebrated their 4th birthdays- another year older! We sang first to Chad, and helped him blow out his candles. Happy birthday, Chad!
What's in the gift bag?
It's a pretty yellow sweater! You look so handsome, Chad! Does it feel fuzzy and warm?
Chad, we love spending days with you and watching you grow. You are a sweet boy with a sensitive heart who has overcome so much in your life. We can't wait to see what this year brings for you!
Next, Rina had her turn. Happy birthday to you, Rina!
She did a great job trying to blow her candles out. What a big girl!
A pretty purple sweater for a pretty girl... She seems to approve.
We are so happy to have you in our lives, Rina! Your strong and yet gentle spirit is inspiring, and we love seeing your personality blossom. You will go far this year!
Dear Evangeline! We wish you a happy birthday, and many more!
Her new sweater fit perfectly, and her nanny made sure to pose her with her cupcake.
Evangeline, your smile has brightened many hard days, and your sweetness even in the most difficult situations has touched many hearts. May this year bring you boatloads of blessings, beautiful girl!

NDNorth: Thanks For Being You
As you walk into Clara's room at New Day North, you will be immediately greeted by an excited three year old and wrapped in a big hug- and probably given a few kisses.
This little girl takes life whimsically...
And seriously...
She loves helping, and Samuel seems to love it too.
When there are tiny things to do with one's hands, no one is more intense than Clara...
And no one more enchanted.
When you need a good friend, Caleb has found that Clara is just the right person to go to...
And when we need an overdose of heart-tugging and adorableness, we know where to go, too!
Thank you, Clara, just for being the wonderful you that you are.
