Joshua Returns

Joshua is a little boy in our Savannah Project. The nannies call him "Xibao” (means Joshua the Treasure ). From 2018 to 2020 he was part of our formula project.

Joshua is a cute little boy with a pair of big eyes that flash with joy. In November 2020, when he was two years old, he joined our Savannah Project.

He didn't speak very clearly since he was young, but he learned to call his nanny, and when he called, it was very sweet. It made his nanny want to kiss his little cheek. When his nanny felt tired from work, she would look at Joshua’s sweet smile and feel energy again. The arrival of Joshua seemed to have increased his nanny’s motivation to work. She said that even when she returns home, she will miss this little guy in her heart.

Not only is he cute but he also has a sensible personality. When he sees the nannies at work, he will always come over to "help.” Although, he can't actually help much, the nannies encourage him in this good habit and assign him a little "job" like running errands.

In the blink of an eye, time has passed, and Joshua has fully adapted to life in this big family. Happy and lively, he is also liked by the other children. Especially Theodore and James who play well with him. The three children often play together laughing and laughing, and the happy laughter is contagious, infecting everyone around them.

For Joshua's chromosomal abnormality, it was necessary to seek the advice of a professional doctor. He was taken to Beijing and Shanghai for treatment. The brave little guy faced many new environments and still responded to all the changes with a smile. Every step of his journey needed the care and wisdom of many people. The doctors and nurses cared for him, making him feel protected and loved.

Time seemed to pass slowly as we waited for Joshua to return. Finally, after half a year, he came back to us. As soon as he saw his nanny, Joshua stretched out his hands and said, "Mom hug me," then he stroked her face and said, "I missed my mother." What a tearful and joyful reunion it was. He remembered his nanny who loved him. Joshua also grew taller, fatter, stronger and his language skills improved. The return of Joshua has added a lot of laughter to our big family.

Seeing how he developed physically and mentally brought his nanny much joy.

We are thankful that the nannies continue to care for, and warm these special children with their love, soothing their hearts. Like the first ray of sunshine in the morning, they break free from the shackles of the morning fog and bloom with a smile!

Love can change lives.
