Project Manager.

There is an important position in our Savannah and Little Deer projects- Project Manager.

Together with the nannies, who execute the plans the Project Manager develops, they ensure the smooth progress of raising children with special needs.

Today, let’s take a look at their work.

First of all, the resident administrator needs to fully learn and understand the culture, vision, goals and missions of the project and the welfare institute and cooperate with the management. At work they must serve and help the children. Therefore, the resident administrator acts as a connection between the project and the orphanage.

Secondly, the resident administrator is equipped with professional knowledge about the needs of special needs children. These include cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, visual/hearing impairment, and developmental delayed children. They have knowledge on posture and positioning, nutrition and feeding, behavior management, children's language/cognitive development. With this knowledge they explain, counsel and train the nannies. They equip the nannies to better serve the children in the project.

Third, the resident administrator needs to have keen insight and discernment. From the children’s condition to environmental safety, prompt communication is needed when problems are discovered, solutions are proposed, and adjustments are made.

Fourth, the resident administrator must not only deal with the training and daily management of the project, but also, they need to contact the children's department, infirmary, rehabilitation, finance, personnel, security and other departments of the orphanage. Communication and coordination with the orphanage is key to keeping things running smoothly.

Their daily work is very tedious and busy. Therefore, the resident administrator needs to be very strong in understanding and communication skills.

They must have close contact with the nannies and children and have a good understanding of the children's development and needs. They must promptly raise any concerns where improvement needs to be made. They conduct timely discussions and feedback via telephone or meeting.

They also pay attention to the physical and emotional conditions of the nannies and the children, communicate and observe frequently, deal with problems in a timely manner, and work out a reasonable and scientific schedule and training plan with the nannies. In terms of safety and health, medical drugs are checked every day, and if necessary, conversations and training are organized in a targeted manner.

With the resident administrator, the project management work can progress more smoothly; because of their hard work, persistence and patience, the lives of the children benefit from the work of the nannies. We are very grateful to have these outstanding resident administrators working in this organization!

Love can change lives; 2021, let love act.
