Kai

Time flies quickly, and the children grow up so fast right in front of our eyes.

Kai is the "pillar" of our small family and loves to help the nannies with their work.

Kai loves things to be clean. He has been silently watching the daily work of the nannies. When he sees them doing something he can help with he runs to help them. Cleaning up the room, tidying the toys and books, helping organize the teaching aids, putting clothes in the wash, throwing out the trash... he loves things orderly.

Kai is also a wonderful big brother and knows how to take care of his younger siblings.

When the nannies prepare the children’s dinner, Kai will take a few children younger than himself to the balcony to play in the car or shoot the basketball. His friends with limited mobility, he will bring them toys to play with and play with them while they wait for their meals.

Once when he saw Samuel was resting and he didn't have the small blanket he was accustomed to holding, he immediately found it and handed it to him. When he saw his sister’s bib came off while she was eating, he ran to her and put it on again.

Kai is gentle and charming, with a kind heart. When playing, he will watch to be sure his brothers and sisters don’t get hurt.

One day, Isaiah was uncomfortable and crying. Kai ran over and through the bed railings held Isaiah’s hand, swinging it gently and "shushing" with his mouth. His eyes were full of concern, love and tenderness. His gentleness and kindness inspired the other children. Samuel also ran over and even a little sister, who could not walk, crawled over to help Kai comfort Isaiah. Sure enough, Isaiah stopped crying and  began to giggle.

Sometimes when Chad cries in bed, Kai will crawl into his crib with the little musical rabbit and play music, sing to him, or tell stories to him. Because Kai is there, Chad will become quiet enjoying the company of his brother. The nannies were touched to see his concern for his brother.

We are pleased and proud of Kai. He is a great older brother. The other children and the nannies love him very much.

This month the children celebrated Kai's seventh birthday. Our wish for him is that he will continue to be gentle, kind and full of joy!
