One of our morning rituals in preschool is to sing the "weather song." It goes something like this:
"What's the weather like today? Like today? Like today?
What's the weather like today? Is it..... [cloudy]?"
We then go through all the different types of weather it could possibly be and decide which one it is for that particular day. Our kids love this song! They can get rather goofy and silly when we sing it really fast or really slow. We also have cards showing the different types of weather and the children are each allowed to hold one up.
Amy has the "cloudy" card this day. That is such a silly face, Amy!
Spring / summer is very rainy here in southern China so we use this card quite a lot, don't we, Ada?
Hayden decided he would rather look at the card than share it with the rest of the class. We tried and tried to get him to show it to us for a picture, but he would quickly turn it back around. He has the "windy" card for those of you who are wondering.
This Selah is holding our favorite card... sunny! Isn't she an adorable little model?
We have so much fun in preschool laughing and learning. Whoever said school had to be boring?
This picture of Selah was taken right before she traveled to Beijing for consultation and possible surgery. Please continue to keep her in your thoughts.
