Snips and Snails, and Puppy Dog's Tails

The departure of Corrie, Rebecca, Isaac, Jeffery, Colton and Henry in the last few weeks has opened up some beds here in the foster home. This week, we welcomed two of the most darling boys.

Let's start with Nelson.

Nelson is a year old and was born with a heart defect that will need surgery, as well as the most adorable extra chromosome.

He rocks his extra chromosome.

With a personality like his, it hasn't take Nelson long to adjust. He loves to giggle, is ticklish, makes the cutest spitting sounds and when he bangs on a drum, his cheeks jiggle.

Seriously, could he get much cuter?

Nah, not possible.

Our other new arrival is the tiny little Edward. Edward is three weeks old and was born with a neural tube defect that will need surgery as soon as possible

Edward is itty bitty and super cuddly. He stops crying when you pick him up and just stares up at you with his tiny, bead-like eyes. It's impossible not to fall in love with him.

Edward was admitted into the hospital in preparation for surgery this morning. We hope that he will have his surgery scheduled for next week, as the sooner the better.

And those are the newest little ones so far... we still have some empty beds. And please keep Edward in your thoughts and prayers this next week as he is prepped for major surgery.
