Peach Picking

Peach season is fast ending, here in Beijing.

The last of the season's peaches will be picked these next few weeks, the farmers say.

But there are still peach trees, heavy with fruit, perfect for little hands to reach up and pick.

So that's just what we did.

The taste of a freshly picked peach cannot be beat. It's delicious.

The happy, singing joy that flows straight out of the sunshine brightens everybody's day.

And the thrill that comes with picking your own fruit...

...that's contagious.
