One day Hannah and Elly were sitting around talking as they were playing-nothing out of the ordinary. But their conversation was not ordinary and it was overheard by one of our older daughters. Hannah said to Elly, "Why does mom and dad sleep in the same bed?" Elly, in all her six years of wisdom pipes up and plainly states, "It's because they are foreigners!" We all had a good laugh, but assured Elly it was not just a foreigner thing, but that married people all over the world sleep in the same bed. It's just what married people do--it's normal. This conversation made us laugh, and reminded us that children coming from an orphanage, who have never had parental role models, couldn't possibly know something like this!
