A Sweet Tooth

The steps we follow for decorating Christmas cookies are as follows:

1. Roll up your sleeves.

2. Choose a cookie

3. Fill up a spoonful of icing
4. Drop the icing in the middle of the cookie

5. Grab a handful of sprinkles and taste them.

6. Pour the rest of the sprinkles onto your cookie

7. Try to avoid getting frosting in your hair. (Cora!)

8. Taste your finished cookie

9. Try a spoonful of frosting
10. Repeat

That's what you do too, right?

The children have a blast decorating cookies. They love choosing a cookie, spreading the pretty, colorful icing and topping it all off with some colorful sprinkles. They also seem to enjoy licking their fingers for some unexplained reason. Did you notice that lack of pictures under the "try a spoonful" step? Scroll down for a video demonstration! Samuel, we've discovered, has quite the sweet tooth.

Cookies and frosting can be a complete meal, right?

  1. The cookies look sweet but those faces are even sweeter!

  2. Oh my, what fun! I don't think I've ever seen so much fun had while making cookies! :)
It's just more fun when you can freely eat the sprinkles and icing while decorating! It makes the cookies taste better too! :)
Love seeing little Judah in the mix! He's getting to be such a big boy!
    Hugs to all of you,

  3. Absolute sweetness ~ both the cookies and the kiddos! Thank you for loving on them so!!!

  4. Oh I laughed! Looks like our little guy will fit right into our holiday cookie baking tradtions. I love how much you all invest in the kids. Maybe my favourite part is that you let them be kids and get messy sometimes! Thank you does not begin to express my feelings.

  5. I can hardly stand the sweetness!
    Too, too cute!
    Love & Blessings,
