What's Cooking?

Some of you may have heard of Scarlet Threads, a small online shop started by some of us here at New Day selling aprons that are handmade by a seamstress in our village.

Well, several customers asked us to make matching children's aprons, so we have started working on them. We wanted to check our progress, so we thought we'd test them out on some of our resident cooks.

When we brought an apron to try on some of the older girls, all of the younger ones wanted a chance at the modeling gig, as well! As it turns out, we have plenty of cute models who can make anything look good.

The little play kitchen at the foster home will definitely need a few aprons hanging on the shelf, because everyone knows you cook better food when you're wearing the appropriate gear.

  1. Oh my goodness, that is the cutest thing in the world! Of course the littler girls wanted some too. Melt my heart! (Maybe the Molly version would be a good choice for them since it's shorter.) Too cute! I'm sure the local apron shop will get them all set up ;-) And it is true what you said about better cooking from the appropriate attire! You don't want them cooking in a firemen's outfit. (heehee)

  2. I got a good chuckle from those pictures!!! I know a certain someone is thrilled to see Khloe in the "Savannah" apron, and all the others look precious as well! Debra looks like a doll, Addison and Reagan are TOO expressive (lol!), and Victoria looks like she might have just found her future career! :) Wish I could hug on them all and play dress-up with them!!!

  3. Oh SWEETNESS!!!!!!!!!!
Adorable! I ordered my apron and can't wait to give it to a very someone special!!!!!!!

Give Kevin big kisses (but no aprons, please ;) from us....

(totally kidding about the boys have always loved playing kitchen! ;)

  4. Ohhhh!!! I love the photos of Debra!! And little Khloe is having such a great time. The aprons are just adorable. Blessings!!

  5. Oh my goodness! HOW SWEET!!! :) Well Carrie~ You already know I'll be placing an order!! I love how lit-up Khloe's face is... looks like we have some "dress-up" playtimes in our future!! :)

We just got home from my husband's grandmother's funeral... so this was definitely the perfect treat to come home to and put a smile back on my face. So precious!!! Can someone email me the full-size version of that sweet photo!?! ;)

  6. That's exactly the apron I ordered and my Chloe loves to match her Mama, so I'm looking forward to the kids version! :) The smiles on the kids faces is what is always so awesome about visiting here.....always makes my day!

  7. I'm placing an order tonight! Love the idea and the mission behind them. Oh, and those models...too too cute!
