A New Year

Time never stops, and in the blink of an eye, it is the Spring Festival again. The past year is coming to an end, and the new year is upon us. At this moment, there is a lingering emotion in our heart, and our thoughts go back to the past.

 

Look at the children in the projects, they suffer from illness, but they can still smile. Although their physical development is limited, they can still say: "I can!" after countless exercises full of sweat and tears. Although their abilities are severely affected, they can still show optimism, friendliness, courage to try, and willingness to try. 

 

A sentence in Tagore's "Flying Birds" says- "Life kisses me with pain, but I repay it with song". No matter what kind of hardships and tribulations we encounter in life, may we all have the courage and strength to undertake it. Believe that mountains have their peaks, lakes have their shores, and everything will eventually be rewarded.

Your sponsorship of the children in the projects brings us joy and touches our hearts. Not only because we see that the needs of the children are provided for, but also because we know that we are not alone on this road, there are many, many of you walking side by side with us. This allows us to dream that we will see the children running and jumping happily.

 

Finally, using a sentence from Shakespeare's "The Tempest" as a New Year's message- "What's past is prologue.” Meaning: history sets the context for the present.

There is hope for the future.

No matter how bad and hopeless their past life may seem to others, it is only the prologue of their life. The future is full of infinite possibilities to write wonderful things. We've seen this firsthand with countless children over the years. 

This sentence is also for the staff and all who join us. The past days may have been full of difficulties and helplessness, but they are just the prologue of our life. The future is still full of infinite possibilities and hopes. Every day is a new beginning. May we be full of hope and set sail again.
