Hudson arrived at
New Day Foster Home 5 1/2 years ago when he was a little over a year old. He
had already has heart surgery and his bio from when he arrived says,
"Hudson will need therapy and braces for his orthopedic issues, and we
hope that on top of meeting those needs for him, we will be able to care for
Hudson and give him the love that his little heart needs."
We have had the
privilege to see Hudson grow and to see his heart learn how to love.
When looking through
pictures for this most it was almost impossible to narrow them down. Hudson has
always been so photogenic and it doesn’t take long for him to win hearts with
his big smile that has only grown bigger.
We have celebrated
each birthday with Hudson and cheered him on as he blew out his candles.
We have celebrated
countless holidays and he has taken part in many New Day traditions.
Hudson moved in with
a local foster family shortly after arriving and we saw him thrive in the love
of a family. We love seeing the bond that has formed between his foster mama
and him and how he loves his foster siblings.
We have seen Hudson
grow as he has learned at school. From preschool to the backyard school Hudson
had always worked hard and has been a great student. He is also a great friend!
We have seen Hudson
overcome obstacles and gain mobility. He worked hard in therapy and we found
creative solutions to help him every step of the way.
Most importantly, we
have watched as Hudson has lived life it's fullest. We have watched his joy
fill a room and laughed alongside him. His sweet, silly personality has shined
as we've watched him grow up.
Now, Hudson will
join his family. The family that will be his forever. We, and especially his
foster family, will all miss him, but are so grateful for that after 5 1/2 year
he is going home forever.
